User Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your HairSwap personal data at any time. HairSwap does not use traditional account signups. Instead, your app data is associated with a unique HairSwap user ID that you can share with us from the app.

How to request deletion

  1. Open HairSwap and go to Settings.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page and use the Share ID option to share your HairSwap user ID with us.
  3. Email the shared ID to [email protected] with the subject HairSwap data deletion request.
  4. We will confirm receipt and may ask for additional information to verify the request before deleting data.

Never send us your Facebook password, payment details, or a copy of an identity document by email.

What happens next

  • After any necessary verification, we will delete or irreversibly anonymize the personal data tied to your HairSwap user ID. This includes data received through a Facebook integration, if applicable.
  • Your uploaded photos and generated images are already automatically and permanently deleted from our systems within a maximum of 48 hours.
  • We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days and will email you when the request is complete.
  • Some information may be retained where required for legal, fraud-prevention, security, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes. Any retained information will be limited to what is necessary and kept only for the required period.

Remove HairSwap from Facebook

You may also remove HairSwap from the Apps and Websites section of your Facebook settings. Removing the app stops future access through Facebook, but it does not identify your HairSwap app data to us. Use the Share ID and email steps above to request deletion of that data.
